Totton nestles between the New Forest National Park and Southampton. Eling Harbour has a delightful harbour full of local sailing boats. The world famous Eling Tide Mill is situated at the head of the creek and opposite is the Town Council's Heritage Centre and café. Also of interest in the Town is the River Test with the Test Way Walk starting at Eling Quay and passing the Salmon Leap Fisheries.
There are shopping areas throughout the town with the main areas around Commercial Road/Water Lane and also Rumbridge Street, including two superstores. . A selection of new forest hotels are nearby New Forest Tourist Information can be found at Lyndhurst, Lymington and Ringwood.
There is a market in the town every Wednesday.
Totton has a main line station with services to Waterloo, Southampton and Bournemouth. |
