Aerobatic Motorbike Stunt Display For New Forest Show

The New Forest & Hampshire County Show are delighted to announce the Jamie Squibb freestyle aerobatic bike stunt display at the 2009 Show.

The display will feature a wide selection of airborne gymnastic moves with great names such as the 'superman seat grab', 'Indian air', 'heel-clicker', 'rock solid', 'double-nac', 'switch blade', 'kiss of death', 'lazy boy' and many more. They are all choreographed to music with continuous commentary, but even though you may know what to expect, it will still take your breath away!

Jamie has high tech mobile ramp equipment, which incorporates a 60ft gap over which the rider often reaches heights in excess of 40ft, He has one of the best transportable metal take off and landing ramp systems in the UK, which takes only 10 minutes to assemble.

Developed after many years of experience it has been computer analysed and set to provide maximum airtime for the big tricks, allowing the general public to view one of the most dare devil sports in the UK The display starts with a demonstration of various tricks and bike skills on the ground, while warming up the bike engine. The main routine starts with couple of 'normal' jumps gradually extending the moves leaving the biggest and best moves and tricks until last, which ensures the watching crowd is spellbound!

Jamie has been a two wheel fanatic since the age of 6, displaying a determination to get both wheels off the ground at any opportunity. As he grew he progressed to motorcross race bikes, their increased power and suspension allowed the possibility of getting seriously airborne. Inspired by the visual display of one or two world class motorcross riders, Jamie decided to follow suit - and put on a local 'jump' party for a few close friends. Soon afterwards, the first ever stadium supercross event was held in the UK. Jamie decided to have a go and suddenly found himself running head to head with all his heroes. He made his mark, coming runner up to the world champion in the interval 'freestyle jump' contest - and this, was his first ever public appearance!

The rest as they say, is history. Jamie soon became the UK's number 1 FMX rider and has represented Britain in Dubai, South Africa, Belgium, and many other countries, with extensive TV coverage throughout the world.

The Show is held at New Park, Brockenhurst from Tuesday 28th to Thursday 30th July. Buy tickets before 30th June and for every adult and senior citizen ticket bought you will be offered a free child's ticket worth £7.

Think about leaving your car behind and let the train take the strain - go to Brockenhurst mainline station and a pay-as-you-go shuttle bus service will take you right into the showground.
