Nearly 100 wedding suppliers have joined forces to promote the New Forest as the Wedding and Civil Partnership Destination in the UK. Acting as a catalyst for this campaign is the Online Wedding Fair at www.vizzitnewforest.com which tells the story of a real bride, Kate Gulliver, from the very moment her finace proposes right up to booking the honeymoon. Kate takes the plunge on July 20th at a hotel in the New Forest. On www.vizzitnewforest.com you will also find tips on wedding planning and information on traditions, customs and superstitions. Couples choosing the New Forest as a Wedding/Civil Partnership Destination can go to a central source to find chocolate fountains, chair covers, tiaras, toastmasters, inter-faith ministers, venues, register offices and much more.
| At the first New Forest Wedding Club Meeting at the Montagu Arms in Beaulieu on June 27th 2007, New Forest wedding suppliers voted overwhelmingly to promote The New Forest as the wedding and Civil Partnership destination in the UK. Everyone agreed that the romantic New Forest with its 26 miles of coastline and 144 square miles of protected forest and heathland, and superb transport connections, was an unrivalled Wedding/Civil Partnership Destination. The campaign will kick off with a competition to win £1,200 of FREE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY at the New Forest Show on 24th/25th/26th July. The first New Forest Wedding Club Wedding Fair is planned for 9th March 2008, additionally the club also plans to attend the National Wedding Show at Olympia to promote the New Forest as the place to get 'hitched'.
