| Gastronomes can sample the culinary delights of the Food Show, selling award winning local produce, while shoppers can browse the 500 plus trade stands offering everything from quad bikes to organic compost.
Community are well represented with exhibitions by the WI, scouts and other local organisations, such as the art group, beekeepers association and the wine makers circle. Those with green fingers can enjoy the dazzling displays staged for the flower arranging competitions and by specialist nurseries featured in the horticultural marquee. There’s also a marching band, family dog show, parade of traction engines, fur & feather tent and an exciting programme of main ring entertainment that includes the Grand Parade of prize winning livestock.
This is the high point of the day, when livestock exhibitors can display their hard work and the public can catch a glimpse of what farming is about. |
