Brockenhurst Football Club Beer and Wine Festival Bank Holiday 27th, 28th and 29th May Brockenhurst Football Club will be hosting its first Brockenhurst Beer and Wine Festival over the May Bank Holiday. This FREE three day event offers a great selection of beers and ciders from small independent breweries arranged by Purbeck Brewery. Kicking off at midday on Friday visitors can experience 12 different real ales, two ciders and wines from Setley Ridge Vineyard to get them in the mood for the evening when popular local band Batch 88 will be playing. Saturday afternoon visitors can enjoy a wine tasting session courtesy of the New Forest’s Vineyard, Setley Ridge, and a delicious Hog Roast by the Hog and Lamb Spitroast Company, followed by the Oscar Martin Tribute Show in the evening. This event promises to be great fun for all the family. The final whistle will be blown on Sunday afternoon (beer supplies permitting). Everything about the Beer and Wine Festival is local and Brockenhurst Football Club plan to make this an annual event. Manylocal businessesare supporting the event by sponsoring a barrel of beer. There is plenty of parking either at the club or in the main village car park opposite Tescos. Better still let the train take the strain with services from Southampton and Bournemouth. The clubhouse with its well stocked bar (where else can you get a pint of lager for under £3?) is available to hire for private functions and children’s parties. For football mad youngsters why not try a Football Party which includes a penalty shootout, medals for all the children and a special football birthday cake?
