Bournemouth - More Than Just a Beach!

Bournemouth in Dorset is reputed to be the UK’s leading coastal resort and has a host of events and entertainment on offer all year round. With its seven miles of golden sandy beaches, two piers, theatres, gardens and shopping precincts Bournemouth really is the perfect place to spend time either for short break or to live.  If staying for a break Bournemouth offers a wide range of places to stay including hotels, bed and breakfast and self catering accommodation for anyone from the budget conscious traveller to those that enjoy the finer things in life.

Bournemouth offers a wide range of activities from swimming at the Littledown Leisure Centre to a round golf at golf courses such as Parley. If football is your preference you can find AFC Bournemouth playing football in the Coca-Cola Football League Two at The Fitness First Stadium. Bournemouth has many family attractions including amusement arcades, fairgrounds and crazy golf to name but a few. Every summer sees the Friday night fireworks at Bournemouth Pier. The Sunseeker Rally starts and finishes in Bournemouth Gardens every year and is an exciting event that should not be missed. Also in the gardens you will find the bandstand which plays host to brass bands and the Bournemouth Eye offering a breathtaking view of Bournemouth, Boscombe and Poole. In the upper gardens you will find an aviary housing tropical birds and an open air gallery showing work from various local artists, making Bournemouth gardens a delightful meander at anytime of year.

Nightlife in Bournemouth is as varied as it is during the day. There are a vast number of nightclubs, pubs and bars to cater to all tastes, as well as restaurants and the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC), Pavilion and the Pier Theatre.
