Police now can name the man who died in a single vehicle collision near Minstead shortly before 7am Sunday, January 17.
He is Shaun Seabright, 47, of Leeson Drive, Ferndown, Dorset.
Mr Seabright was driving his blue Renault Trafic van along Emery Down Road towards Minstead when he lost control of the vehicle on a right hand bend. The van left the road, overturned and collided with a tree.
Mr Seabright’s family released this statement:
“Shaun was married with two daughters, aged 12 and 14. He owned and ran an angling ship in Christchurch. Bothe Shaun and the business were well respected by serious anglers.
“He was an avid angler who had travelled to Kenya to fish. It was his passion. He had won many cups and trophies and was a winner of many competitions. He was on his way to fish when the accident occurred. He will be sorely missed in the fishing community.
“He will be greatly missed by his wife, daughters and family, who are all devastated by his sudden and tragic loss.
The family will not be releasing a photograph and appeal for privacy to grieve.”
Police continue to appeal for witnesses who may have seen the van travelling in Emery Down Road prior to the collision.
