Christmas Reindeer Parade with Santa

Ringwood Chamber of CommerceRingwoodHampshireBH24 1BSPhone: 01425 471424Santa and his reindeer will once again be making their dramatic debut in Ringwood on Friday December 3rd at 6p.m. for the sensational Chamber of Commerce Christmas Reindeer Parade.
To welcome Santa many of the Ringwood shops will be staying open late and will be offering mince pies and mulled wine to the shoppers.
Parking Charges for council car parks in Ringwood will be suspended for the afternoon of Friday 3rd December 2010, the suspension will start at 12.00 noon. Waiting time restrictions may apply.
Santa will start his journey in the Market Place outside Letchers Solicitors. The Parade will once again be led by the Ringwood Pipe Band followed by the Forest Forge Theatre dressed as Vintage Ice skaters, plus charity collectors in seasonal costumes in aid of Help for Heroes.
There will be Mary and Joseph on donkeys with shepherds and wise men and there will be a traditional Christmas craft and food market with a children's fairground.
After the Parade, which is going around the town and returning to Letchers in the Market Place, children can meet Santa and pet his reindeer.
Santa can also be visited in the Furlong in his Gingerbread House the next day from 10a.m. to 4p.m. and at weekends in December.
This year the Parade has been kindly supported by Letchers Solicitors, Waitrose, Ringwood Brewery, Hearnes Estate Agents, Martin & Co Letting Agents, Simply Beauty, Baby Blooming, Prod Grow Markets and David Lloyd Leisure. Friday 3rd December 18:00 to 20:00

Join us for the town’s annual festive street fair
Come and experience the magical Christmas atmosphere in our yuletide marquee where you will find produce and crafts from the New Forest and Hampshire.
There will be plenty of gift ideas for the whole family as well as late night shopping in the High Street and on the famous Lymington Quay. Lymington has a wealth of independent shops offering an amazing selection of goods and services.
The town’s four major banks will also be open until late and there will be free parking from 12 noon to 8pm in all the town’s car parks.
Sample some delicious seasonal refreshments as you listen to magical Christmas sounds and bring the children along to enjoy some fun activities and meet Father Christmas in his sleigh.

Meet Father Christmas
Father Christmas will be coming to town to join the yuletide celebrations. Come and visit him in the high street from 1.00pm to 8.00pm. Father Christmas’ arrival is being organised by Rotary Club of Lymington and proceeds will go to local charities.

Father Christmas will have his own show outside the 99P Store in Lymington at the following times
12.30pm, 2.00pm and 3.30pm.
After these shows he will re-join his Santa Wagon in the middle of Lymington High Street where he will welcome visitors before he moves to his Grotto at Moore Blatch from 6.30pm until 8.00pm.
New Forest Hospital Radio
Programme presenters and request collectors from New Forest Hospital Radio will be manning the mobile public address. They will be conducting street interviews and playing requests for members of the public.
It is also an opportunity to find out more about being involved with hospital radio either as a request collector or as a programme presenter. NFHR is fortunate to have a state of the art studio in the Lymington New Forest Hospital and broadcasts a request show every night on Channel 16.

Christmas Tree Festival
Lymington United Reformed Church will be hosting a Christmas Tree Festival. The event will be officially opened by the Lymington and Pennington Town Mayor, Councillor Jan Hawker at 12 noon and will stay
open until 8.30p.m.
Up to 30 trees will be decorated by local support groups and charities. The trees will be up for auction with donations welcome! Come and place your bid [minimum is £20] and support those groups
which are important in the local New Forest area. There will be entertainment during the Festival with Lady Zing Choir, Sway Hand Bell Ringers and New Forest Meddlars Morris Dancers.
The Four Season Singers will be performing their reportoire of Victorian Carols, Santa Babe, Winter Wonderland and much more!
Traditional Organ grinders Dave Clothier and Brian Rapley will be grinding away for their charities!!
