Chalcroft Farm Shop

R Owton’s Wholesale Butchers & Chalcroft Farm Shop are family run businesses located on Chalcroft Farm, West End, Southampton. Established by Rob & Gill Owton in 1976, the Owton family have been farming on Chalcroft Farm for at least 400 years with Rob’s father being the first to go into the meat trade in the 1950s. They are winners of many prestigious awards including the Supreme Sausage for Hampshire Award in 2002. Service has always been an important part of their business, in fact they consider it is of equal importance to the very high quality of their meat. See their WEBSITE.  Excellent value & top quality Christmas Hampers can be purchased and collection organised.  Meat is sourced from local farms such as Lamb from Farmer Mr Davies of Fir Tree Farm, Horton Heath and Pork from Farmer Mr Porter of Bracken Farm, Plaitford, Romsey.  Beef is from Farmer Mr Hill, Marwell Manor Farm, Fishers Pond and Hampshire Game and Venison from Beaulieu Manor Estate, New Forest and Hursley Estate, Winchester. They also also stock their own beef directly from Chalcroft Farm.  Chalcroft Farm works with local producers and also stocks Quails Eggs from Rural Fayre, Wickham & Chicken’s eggs from Lycroft Farm in Swanmore.
